Day 130

Enduring short jokes during basic training was easy enough, but McDonnell was starting to realize the obstacles he'd face during flight training. The odds of becoming a warrant officer are pretty low when you can't reach the controls.

Day 119

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my kids? My 4-year-old and 6-year-old, Levi and Aspen, went with my better half to the LEGO store to get presents for me. These are the newest additions to my collection, put together entirely by little hands and in combinations that I wouldn't quite have expected:

The kids were so sweet and so excited to see me open these that I feel bad taking them apart to use for parts! None of my minifigs stay intact, though, so I'm hoping the kids won't take it personally.

And now, on to your not-very-regularly-scheduled LEGO picture:

What good is roadside assistance if they can't help you find missing parts for a broken toy Yoda?

Thursday, March 25, 2010

Day 114

Matt sat, waiting patiently, power tools ready to go. His new neighbor, Pierre, would be there any minute to spend the day helping him with fencing.

So far, Heather's assumption that music could tame the savage beast was a total bust.
